Celsius.com offers various payment methods. For paying interest on a loan, there is a choice between manual interest payments and automatic interest payments. Interest can be paid in CEL, BTC, ETH, USDC, GUSD, TUSD, USDT, and MCDAI. If interest is paid using CEL, a discount of up to 25% is offered.
For a manual interest payment, the following steps are followed:
- Open the app.
- Tap on the Celsius logo in the bottom right corner of the screen.
- Tap on the Borrow option.
- Tap on the Pay Monthly Interest button.
- Choose from a few different options: Pay with CEL, Pay with crypto, Pay with dollars.
To set up automatic interest payments, the following steps are followed:
- Open the app.
- Tap on the Celsius logo in the bottom right corner of the screen.
- Tap on the Borrow option.
- Tap on Loan Settings.
- Enter the required verification (2FA or PIN), then tap on Interest Payment.
- Elect Automatic Interest Payment.
- Once the Automatic Interest Payment option is turned on, tap on Change Interest Payment Type.
- Choose to pay interest in CEL, with crypto, or with dollars.
To pay off a USD loan, any remaining interest due is paid. If the loan has matured for 6 months or more, interest is paid up to the day of closing. Interest can be paid with a wire transfer, or using one of the following coins: CEL, BTC, ETH, USDC, GUSD, TUSD, USDT, MCDAI, or PAX. The principal amount can be repaid with a wire transfer or using one of the following coins: USDC, GUSD, TUSD, USDT, MCDAI, or PAX.
